Position Description:
The Business Analyst will be responsible for eliciting, analyzing, and managing business and functional requirements through close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. The role involves translating business needs into clear, well‑structured documentation such as user stories, use cases, process flows, functional specifications, and business rules.
The Business Analyst will act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and engineering teams, facilitating effective communication, driving clarity on requirements, enabling process improvements, and ensuring delivery of practical, high‑quality solutions to complex business problems. This role requires hands‑on exposure to Agile development methodologies, with the ability to work closely with Product Owners, Scrum Teams, QA, and stakeholders across the full development lifecycle—from discovery and design through delivery, UAT, and post‑release support.
The individual will actively contribute to user experience design by collaborating with UX teams and creating mock‑ups and wireframes, ensuring solutions are intuitive, scalable, and aligned with defined business objectives and regulatory considerations.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience in the BFSI Lending / Mortgage domain (India or USA markets), with strong functional understanding of lending processes and customer journeys.
Mandatory Skills:
- Minimum 2+ years of hands‑on experience in the BFSI Lending / Mortgage domain (India and/or USA), with exposure to loan origination, underwriting, servicing, or related workflows.
- Strong requirements elicitation and documentation skills, with proven ability to translate high‑level business needs into detailed functional and non‑functional requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in managing and refining product backlogs, including breaking down requirements into Epics, Features, User Stories, and Tasks.
- Hands‑on experience in writing clear user stories with well‑defined acceptance criteria aligned to business outcomes.
- Working knowledge of UI/UX principles, including creation and review of mockups and wireframes in collaboration with design teams.
- Experience using BPMN, process flows, and Use Case modeling to define, analyze, and visualize end‑to‑end business processes.
- Strong hands‑on exposure to Agile/Scrum frameworks, including sprint ceremonies, backlog grooming, requirement traceability, and incremental delivery.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage, influence, and manage stakeholders effectively.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making capabilities with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while also demonstrating leadership qualities and effective team coordination skills.
Good to Have Skills:
- Prior experience in Fintech or BFSI, with strong exposure to US Lending / Mortgage domain.
- Experience working with international clients, including stakeholder management across geographies and time zones.
- Background or hands‑on exposure to QA / Testing activities, including test case reviews, UAT support, and defect triaging.
- Awareness and practical usage of AI‑enabled productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, AI‑assisted documentation, requirement analysis, or backlog management tools).
- Understanding of API integrations, system interfaces, and data flows in complex enterprise systems (functional perspective).
- Agile or Product certifications such as PSPO, CSPO, or equivalent (preferred).
Responsibilities:
- Elicit, analyze, validate, and document both high‑level and detailed business requirements using techniques such as workshops, interviews, use cases, scenarios, and prototyping.
- Act as a trusted communication bridge between business stakeholders and engineering teams, ensuring clarity and shared understanding of requirements.
- Identify, analyze, and proactively resolve complex requirement gaps, ambiguities, and conflicts through effective facilitation and stakeholder engagement.
- Present solution options, insights, risks, and recommendations clearly to stakeholders to support informed business and technical decision‑
- Support business problem analysis and identify opportunities for process optimization and value realization.
- Create and maintain clear, concise user stories with acceptance criteria aligned to business objectives and compliance needs.
- Assist Scrum teams with backlog grooming, refinement, and readiness for sprint planning.
- Support the Product Owner in prioritization, roadmap discussions, and release/work planning activities.
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand‑ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Review and validate test cases, test scenarios, and UAT outcomes to ensure complete requirements coverage and solution quality.
- Support post‑release activities by assisting with impact analysis, enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Education:
- B.E. / B.Tech / MCA / MBA / PGDM – Full Time-Distance from a recognized University.
