Engineering Manager

Experience : 10-12 years

Position Description:

As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading project delivery, client management and people management. You will be responsible for guiding development and testing teams. You will ensure that the development process, architecture, and standards are followed. You will also be responsible for the code quality of the project. This role expects the person to act as individual contributor as well as take ownership and drive project execution, client management and people management of a team of around 30-40 development and test engineers.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Min 3 years of Engineering Manager role and 3 years as Team Lead role
  • Traversed from being a software developer to become team lead and then a manager
  • Experience in any one of the following technology stacks:
  • Priority-1 : Core Java technologies, Framework/API: Spring, Hibernate, Spring Boot, J2EE- Servlet, JSP
  • Priority-2 : Power BI, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, SSIS, ETL
  • Client Interaction and ownership for small to medium project (20 or more team members) for more than 2 years
  • Good knowledge of Agile, SDLC and Project Management Tools
  • Assumes the leadership role as it relates to mentorship, training and giving feedback to development staff
  • Participates in software development functions such as: Design, Design Reviews, Code Reviews and Project Status
  • Leads the planning process for new feature development and existing software maintenance
  • Collaborate with customer stakeholders, architects, Dev ops & QA for successful delivery of release
  • Provide obstacle removal and guidance to development staff, quality assurance and production support staff

  • Manage and grow the engineering teams, building, maintaining, and leading a culture of respect, innovation, high quality standards, and collaboration
  • Drive core team members across organization to recruit skilled resources or mentor and train internal resources to achieve the targets
